ST. NOTEWORTHY
1. The play of the frontline on both sides of the ball will be a key for the Trailblazers’ success, and needs to be an overall improvement from last season. Utah Tech returns virtually its entire starting offensive line, and returns several players that saw valuable time on the defensive line last season.
2. Like every team, the quarterback battle will be key for Utah Tech. The Trailblazers return three signal callers that saw significant time under center last season in R-Sr. Deacon Hill, R-Jr. Reggie Graff, and R-Fr. Bronson Barben.
3. How the Blazers replace 2024 first team all-UAC TE Eni Falayi (transferred – 2024: 31 rec./417 yds/5 TDs), and where will Utah Tech turn to pick up that production in the pass game at both the WR and TE positions in 2025. Also, looking to be more effective in running the football.
4. Utah Tech lost several key players in its secondary to the transfer portal and graduation last season. Finding replacements on the backend of the defense from a new crop of players coming into fall camp will be a primary focus for the Blazers.
5. The Trailblazers will be seeking improvement in the overall athleticism and playmaking ability from its linebacker corps. A strong group of new players, who have been brought in to compete for time in UTU's 3-4 defense, will be key to reaching this goal in 2025
