Quartet of UAC Squads Lock-In Spots in National Polls

Austin Peay and West Georgia Move Up in Rankings after Wins

UAC FOOTBALL -- United Athletic Conference (UAC) Football continues to make a national name for itself as for the second consecutive week the league saw four teams garner Top 25 rankings in a single poll. Overall, six different UAC programs received votes in a national poll.

Locking down the No. 3 spot in all the polls was Tarleton State after after opening UAC play with an impressive road victory at Central Arkansas, while Abilene Christian claimed the No. 14 (Stats Perform), No. 15 (AFCA) and No. 16 (Redshirt Sports) positions. Austin Peay and West Georgia both climbed up the rankings following strong Saturday victories. The Govs were listed No. 15 (Redshirt), No. 18 (Stats Perform) and No. 20 (AFCA). The Wolves collected spots at No. 19 (Redshirt) and No. 22 (Stats Perform) along with receiving votes in the AFCA listing. Eastern Kentucky and Central Arkansas both tallied votes in one or more of the polls.
