The United Athletic Conference (UAC) announced a partnership with Highland Growth Strategies to manage the UAC’s media and commercial rights in fall 2023 when the league began play as the newest Division I FCS Conference.
With the addition of Highland, the UAC continued its focus on acquiring seasoned industry leaders to create a strong and successful football league. The partnership features Highland founder David Johnston, who formerly led his first entrepreneurial sports venture (Rockbridge Sports Group), which was acquired by Outfront Media in 2016. Johnston brings over 25 years of collegiate multimedia rights experience to the UAC, having served as President of Outfront/Playfly Sports Properties prior to founding Highland.
Michael O'Brien, the Vice President for Revenue at Highlands, will serve as the UAC's primary connection with Highlands as he will serve as the league's Corporate Partnership Director.
