Week 10 features full slate including ranked battle between No.2 TSU & No. 24 ACU

UACFOOTBALL -- The season's final month of competition kicks off with some championship flavor in Week 10 as a pair of Saturday match-ups include title chance ramifications. With a win, No. 2 Tarleton State would earn a share of the 2025 UAC Championship while several two loss squads needs a victory to remain in the trophy hunt. 

- Week 9 Recap: Tarleton State extended its win streak to nine games and remained undefeated in UAC play with a strong road performance at EKU... Austin Peay raced out to an early homecoming advantage and cruised to an impressive double-digit decision over rival North Alabama... West Georgia rallied in the fourth quarter and claimed a one-point victory against Central Arkansas... Southern Utah retained the trophy in the "Battle for the Ax" versus in-state rival Utah Tech with a double-figure margin

NOTEWORTHY
- In the latest FCS National Rankings, the UAC saw four teams collecting votes in the national polls with three squads ranked in the Top 25... Undefeated Tarleton State climbed up to No. 2 in the traditional polls (AFCA & Stats Perform) marking the highest team rank in UAC history, and the Texans were also listed No. 3 in the first in-season FCS Championship Committee ranking. With its big home win, Austin Peay moved to No. 22 (Stats Perform)/No. 24 (AFCA) while Abilene Christian remained ranked at No. 24 (Stats Perform)/No. 25 (AFCA) following their bye weekend. West Georgia was the other league squad garnering votes in both polls.

- In the FCS "Game of the Week", No. 2 Tarleton State (9-0, 5-0 UAC) travels in-state for a ranked "Lone Star State" showdown with No. 24 Abilene Christian (4-4, 3-1 UAC)...  The Texans will be in search of their second ranked victory of the season along with clinching a share of the 2025 UAC Champinonship... The Wildcats look to remain in the hunt to defend their conference title from last season

- North Alabama (2-6, 1-3 UAC) makes a cross-country trek to battle Utah Tech (1-7, 0-4 UAC) in Saturday's first game on the slate... The homestanding Trailblazers seek their first league win while the Lions hope to bounce back from a tough road loss last Saturday at APSU

- Southern Utah (3-5, 2-2 UAC) is riding a two-game win streak after topping a ranked ACU squad and in-state rival Utah Tech and welcomes No. 22 Austin Peay (5-3, 3-2 UAC). Both the Govs and T-Birds need a victory to remain in the championship chase

- EKU (3-5, 1-3 UAC) visits longtime rival Central Arkansas (3-5, 2-2 UAC) for a match-up on "The Stripes"... The Bears, looking to rebound from a close loss last week, hold on to hopes of making a late surge up the standings and the Colonels look to secure their first road win of the season 

West Georgia  (6-3, 3-3 UAC) enjoys its final bye of the year

- For a third consecutive season the UAC had a member squad compete in Week 0 on national television as No. 8/10 Tarleton State blanked Portland State, 42-0, on ESPN2. The win marked the first shutout performance for an FCS team in Week 0 history... The league owns a 2-2 mark in Week 0 play

- Heading into the 2025 season, UAC lineups include a trio of players listed on national award watch lists with Tarleton State QB Victor Gabalis named to the Walter Payton Award list along with a pair of defensive standouts, Lando Brown of Southern Utah and Abilene Christian's Will Shaffer, part of the Buck Buchanan Award list... Gabalis (Offensive) and Shaffer (Defensive) were tabbed the preseason Player of the Year choices by the conference coaches.

- In its brief three-year history, UAC Football has already produced THREE FCS over FBS wins: TSU over Army, 30-27 2OT and APSU defeated MTSU, 34-14 this season | SUU topped UTEP, 27-24 OT in 2024... The UAC now boasts THREE wins over a ranked non-conference FCS foe: ACU over #23 SFA, 28-20 and UWG over #22 Nicholls, 34-10 this season | EKU defeated #16 SEMO, 41-38, in 2023... Additionally, the league owns a pair of FCS Playoff wins in 2024 by the Wildcats and Texans
