RICHMOND, Ky. -- Excitement is building for the third season of gridiron action in the United Athletic Conference (UAC) and as a lead into the kickoff of the 2025 campaign, we will preview each of the nine league members with a daily countdown in the "Chase for the Crown". EKU made a return to the FCS postseason last year following a second straight runner-up finish in UAC play and the Colonels have set their sights on continuing their strong winning ways in 2025.

- MARCUS CALWISE JR. (WR, SO) - Preseason All-UAC honoree and returning Freshman All-American wideout... EKU's leading receiver last season with 526 yards on 42 receptions (12.52 ypr) including a team-leading five touchdowns
- JAHEIM WARD (DB, R-SR) - Named to Preseason All-UAC list... Team's top returning tackler having amassed 66 total tackles including 5.0 TFLs to go along with 8 PBUs, two forced fumbles, one interception and one fumble recovered

NOTEWORTHY
1. One of the most successful programs in FCS history, EKU owns the most Division I wins all-time of any UAC member with an overall record of 609-414-38

2. With their return to postseason play last year, the Colonels have earned 23 FCS Playoff Appearances, which ranks as the second most in the NCAA

3. Over half of the UAC programs posted a winning record on their home fields last season with EKU topping the list with a perfect, undefeated (6-0) mark at home (Roy Kidd Stadium)... It marked the program's first undefeated home stand since 2010

4. The Colonels returns six starters from last season’s stingiest defense in the UAC, one that allowed just 23.7 points per game

5. Looking to continue and build on its history of success, EKU was named No. 18 in all of the FCS by FCS Football Central for Post-Spring Transfer Portal Classes
