UAC Football Unveils 2025 League Ledger

Second season of full 8-game slates

For the second straight season, the United Athletic Conference (UAC) will play a full eight-game football schedule for the 2025 campaign as announced the league office. The competition slate features four home games and four road games for each of the league's nine member institutions.

This season featured a full conference schedule and was highlighted by high-powered offenses, tightly-contested weekly match-ups and a chase for a championship trophy and FCS playoff bids that carried on until the final Saturday. In 2024, UAC Football also saw some other firsts including a win over an FBS foe, three teams ranked in the Top 25 and three teams earned bids to the FCS Playoffs with two securing Top 16 seeds. Abilene Christian posted a 7-1 mark en route to claiming the first Championship in the eight-game schedule format era.

With another full conference ledger, UAC Football is primed for a thrilling run again in 2025.

Week One of college football in 2025 kicks off on Saturday, Aug. 30, with the first head-to-head UAC clash slated for Sept. 13 when Tarleton State pays a visit to Central Arkansas and "The Stripes" in Conway. The next Saturday, four more squads open lead play when Austin Peay visits defending champs ACU and West Georgia welcomes EKU. Utah Tech gets rolling in UAC play Sept. 27 on the road against the Govs in "The Fort" while North Alabama wraps up the conference debuts Oct. 4 at ACU in a rematch of the Wildcats lone league loss in 2024.

The month of November will be packed with Saturdays full of UAC battles leading up to the FCS regular season finales Nov. 22. The FCS Playoff field will be selected on Nov. 23 with opening round games of the championship set for Nov. 29.

UAC Football is a combined partnership group between the scholarship football-playing members of both the Atlantic Sun Conference (ASUN) and Western Athletic Conference (WAC). It began with the ASUN-WAC Challenge (or AQ7) in 2021 and continued in 2022 before the official organization of the UAC for the 2023 season. Featuring an automatic qualifier (AQ) into the FCS playoff each of the past four years, the UAC enters its third season of official competition with nine participating institutions: Abilene Christian University, Austin Peay State University, University of Central Arkansas, Eastern Kentucky University, University of North Alabama, Southern Utah University, Tarleton State University, Utah Tech University and University of West Georgia, who officially joined the UAC (Football) and ASUN (All other sports) on July 1, 2024.

The group is currently building the 2026 schedule which continues with an eight-game slate and future schedules are also being constructed as part of the multi-year conference agreement.
