Tarleton State's Yasir Holmes Invited to Tampa Bay Rookie Mini-Camp

Tarleton State’s Yasir Holmes has accepted an invite to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers Rookie Mini-Camp, the program announced Tuesday.

Holmes, a linebacker from Indian Head, Md., spent one season with the Texans where he helped the team to a 12-2 overall record and a 7-1 spot in United Athletic Conference play. Holmes finished sixth on the team with 47 tackles while leading the group with 13.0 tackles for loss (72 total yards) and 8.0 sacks on the year.

The All-Conference honoree put up massive numbers in multiple games last season recording four or more solo tackles on three occasions while recording a sack in six different games.

The Buccaneers are coming off an 8-9 season where they finished first in the NFC South.
