EKU’s Jaheim Ward Invited to Kansas City, Chicago Rookie Mini-Camp

EKU safety Jaheim Ward has received multiple rookie mini-camp invitations from the Kansas City Chiefs and the Chicago Bears, the program announced Sunday.

Ward, a two-year standout at EKU, made appearances in 24 games while totaling 148 tackles, seven tackles for loss, 15 pass breakups, forced three fumbles and picked off two passes.

A staple for the Colonels in the secondary, Ward was named to numerous postseason awards and honors; he is a two-time All-UAC selection, a two-time Phil Steele All-UAC honoree and was named as a Phil Steele All-American and an FCS Central All-American.

Kansas City is coming off a 6-11 season where the Chiefs finished third in the AFC West while Chicago claimed the No. 1 spot in the NFC North with an 11-6 record.
