UAC FOOTBALL -- With the college football season set to kick off in just under two weeks, the American Football Coaches Association (AFCA) released its preseason FCS Coaches Poll which included the names of five programs from the United Athletic Conference (UAC).

FCS Playoff participant last season and league preseason favorite, Tarleton State, nabbed the UAC's top ranking at No. 8 and defending conference champion and 2024 FCS Playoff participant, Abilene Christian, claimed the No. 16 listing. A trio of other league squads picked up votes for the poll including EKU (another 2024 FCS Playoff participant), Southern Utah and Central Arkansas.
