Football 4/26/2026 8:15:58 AM North Alabama’s Heatherly Invited to Indianapolis Colts Rookie Mini-Camp University of North Alabama tight end Kaleb Heatherly has agreed to a rookie mini-camp invite with the Indianapolis Colts, the program announced Sunday. Heatherly, a native of Cullman, Ala., appeared in 46 games for the Lions during his tenure where he caught 33 passes for 348 yards and three scores. A key blocker for the UNA offense, Heatherly was part of a team that finished third in the United Athletic Conference (UAC) with 245.9 passing yards per game in 2024. A staple in the starting lineup for North Alabama, Heatherly had his best season during the 2025 year where he caught 17 passes for a career-best 223 yards and two touchdowns. The 6-foot-5, 260-pound hybrid player tallied a career-long 43-yard catch from Destin Wade to set up a field goal in the team’s 49-21 win over Northeastern State. Following a four-year career in Florence, Heatherly was honored as a Phil Steele All-UAC Fourth Team member in 2025 and played in the 2026 Dream Bowl, a premier college football all-star showcase, at AT&T Stadium. The Colts are coming off an 8-9 season where they finished third in the AFC South. Indianapolis started out hot winning eight of its first 10 games of the season, including a key victory over the Denver Broncos, who went on to clinch the No. 1 seed in the AFC.
